Principal's Welcome

A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington.

Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.  We are proud of our unique, vibrant, safe, happy and inclusive community where all that we do is underpinned by our Mission Statement.

“Aspire, Achieve, Learn and Love as one family in Christ”

Our community of children, staff, parents and governors work together to make Our Lady and St Teresa’s a safe learning environment where children are able to flourish socially and academically.

They are nurtured and encouraged to use their God-given talents to become the person God has called them to be. These aims are strengthened by children understanding, following and living out the Gospel values and practices daily in the way they behave and treat all those they meet. As a Catholic school we have these values at the centre of our learning so that every individual is encouraged as a child of God to strive for excellence in all they do.

We are fully committed as staff to do our very best to ensure that the children in our care receive a first-class education through our innovative, broad, balanced and rich curriculum. A curriculum that inspires, motivates and challenges them. We aim to create happy memories through learning and equip our children to become life-long learners ready to leave school as confident and well-rounded individuals who make a positive contribution in the world today.

We can only achieve this through an effective partnership with parents and carers since you are undoubtedly your child’s first and most influential educator. Therefore, it is vital that we work together with the full realisation of every child’s individual talents and strengths. And, in this respect, we are blessed with very supportive parents.

Consequently, the school is fully inclusive, recognising that our vocations are to support the children in their journey of faith and learning. We welcome children of all faiths or no faith.

Please contact the School Office to arrange a visit to our school, and experience for yourselves the warm and friendly ethos which underpins everything we do.

We look forward to welcoming you to our fantastic and unique school very soon.

Kind regards,

Mr M Pettle
Principal
